Confined Space Training

Duration: 2 Hours

Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.

This course will focus on the specific requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 (a) through (l). It provides an overview for all workers assigned to areas in or around confined spaces. Designed to enable attendees to recognize, evaluate, control, and abate safety and health hazards associated with permit-required confined space entry. It will cover General Industry and Construction OSHA requirements for Permit and Non-Permit required confined spaces. Tailored to atmospheric conditions, gas detection, rescue systems, signage requirements, ventilation procedures, and responsibility of attendants. Training takes place in our Philadelphia Training Center.

  • Instruction on rescue techniques
  • Air monitoring
  • Air sampling methods
  • Ventilation procedures
  • Recognition of confined space hazards
  • Basic information about instrumentation used
  • General permit space ventilation techniques

 

Confined Space Rescue Training

Duration: Varies

Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.

Trainees will develop necessary knowledge and skills to comply with OSHA 1910.146.(g)(h)(i) and (k). This course will be customized to meet the requirements of the client’s Confined Space Plan. Attendees will have hands on training! They will also be required to perform mock rescues form both horizontal and vertical confined spaces.

Training includes:

  • Following proper procedures for incapacitated or unconscious victims
  • Assisted rescue (entrants only)
  • Self-rescue
